Bridgeport police say an arrest is pending in the Tuesday night shooting at Captain's Cove that sent one person to the hospital.
According to police, video evidence shows a fight between two groups of men that was about to start outside the restaurant when the men moved to the boardwalk.
Police say the suspect then fired about five shots at 24-year-old Kenneth Bell as he was walking away, hitting him in both legs. He was hospitalized with wounds not considered life-threatening.
Debbie Alter was line dancing at Captain's Cove when the shots rang out.
"We heard noises, a crowd of people were just running, trying to figure out what was going on," she says.
Police say they ended up releasing the person they initially took into custody Tuesday night. But police said they planned on making an arrest sometime Wednesday.
The owner of Captain's Cove declined to comment on the shooting.
