Man sentenced to 40 years for murder of grocery store owner

The man accused of killing a grocery store owner during an April 2015 robbery was sentenced in Bridgeport Friday.
Leighton Vanderberg, 23, will spend 40 years in jail for his role in the murder of Jose Salgado.
Police say Salgado and his wife were closing up the store in the Hollow neighborhood when  Venderberg and another man, Trey Lopez, killed him.
Vanderberg pleaded guilty to felony murder. Lopez is still awaiting trial.
