Norwalk video game center in danger of closing

NORWALK -

A video game center in Norwalk is looking for help to keep its doors open.

Brent Goren opened Game Haven in December of 2015 after his ex-wife encouraged him to find his passion. He says Game Haven offers an important resource for kids and families to learn and play with activities such as a summer camp and classes.

Goren says he will be closing his business in six weeks if he doesn't figure out a way to save his business.

"This was about giving kids a safe place to go that is clean, comfortable and inclusive and bridged all kids of societies, socio-economic divisions," he says.

Goren says that despite his in-house efforts to make his business more profitable, he pays the business's bills working as a roofing estimator.

He says he is considering every option, including a crowdfunding campaign online to raise more than $100,000.

Goren also says he is open to selling the business or sharing it with an investor.
