A school in Norwalk is trying to make eating healthy fun for its students by introducing new food stations.
Rowayton Elementary School debuted its new smoothie and salad bar in their newly refurbished cafeteria.
The goal of the stations is to get kids excited about eating healthy.
The cafeteria is the first in the school district to provide these new options.
"These choices are important because we just want to be able to provide many different ways for kids to receive the full nutrition that they should have and sometimes children are better off with healthy smaller snacks than a hot meal during the middle of the day and we just wanted to be able to provide different options," says Aimee Ableman with the PTA.
The school also had a nutritionist on site to meet with each grade about healthy eating.
