Police are trying to get to the bottom of who is leaving white nationalist flyers in Easton.
The fliers popped up earlier this week on several streets off Black Rock Turnpike.
The "White Lives Matter" fliers say, "As our monuments come down, anarchists attack civilians and history seems to be eradicated right in front of us."
Neighbors that spoke with News 12 Connecticut say the type of message isn't welcome in their community.
According to Easton's Police Chief Timothy Shaw, the fliers don't make a specific threat, so they're likely a vandalism violation, at most.
"We don't comment on what's inside the information, says Shaw. “We're just trying to find out who's leaving this around town because it's not appreciated by the neighbors."
It’s not the first case of white nationalist flyers popping up in western Connecticut.
In the past, flyers have been found saying "Make America White Again."
