A man from Bridgeport is in the hospital after police say he was shot 10 times outside of his home.
Christopher Coleman, 43, was shot 10 times outside of his home at 224 Dover St., according to police.
Police say Coleman ran inside his house but that the suspect chased him and kept shooting.
Coleman is currently in stable condition at Bridgeport Hospital.
A neighbor says she heard several gunshots and heard the victim yell that he was shot.
Despite being hit several times, News 12 is told Coleman was conscious and sat on the steps while waiting for police to arrive.
Police described the suspect as a black man standing about 6 feet 1 inch tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie that covered his face.
Investigators believe it was a targeted shooting and do not think the public is in any immediate danger.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bridgeport Police Department.
