A large group of people came together in Bridgeport Saturday to support the family of a murder victim who was shot to death six months ago.
The crowd gathered at McLevy Green to show their support for the family of 33-year-old Max Antoine.
Antoine was fatally shot in Bridgeport as he walked out of a restaurant. Police he was an innocent bystander and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez called on the crowd to urge state attorney John Smirga to sign an amended arrest warrant he delivered Friday for the killer, whom Perez says will be taken into custody as soon as the document is signed.
Antoine’s family says they want closure, and that making the arrest would be the first step toward achieving it.
