Two Bridgeport police officers are recovering after a police pursuit led to shots fired, officials say.
News 12 is told it started with a domestic incident call on Summerfield Avenue around 7:15 p.m. Monday. Officials say they were told the suspect was trying to kick down a door.
When officials tried to track down the suspect on Kent Avenue, a pursuit began in which shots were fired.
They say the chase ended when the suspect crashed his car near Sage and Barnum avenues. News 12 is told the suspect was detained not long after.
It was later discovered that the suspect, 32-year-old Mark Christian, may be responsible for the shooting and killing of a Bridgeport man on Oct. 14.
Officials say the officers have minor injuries. It is unclear whether their injuries are from the shots fired or crash.
