A pink puppy from Westport is making a big splash on social media and helping promote the understanding of disabilities.
Piglet is a blind and deaf Chihuahua-Dachshund mix that weighs 5 and a half pounds. His owner, a veterinarian in Westport, is using the 10-month-old dog's online celebrity to help kids and adults understand animals with disabilities.
One video of the Piglet has racked up 13 million views online.
Piglet has a lot of company at his Westport home, living with half a dozen other dogs with a range of challenges.
Along with Facebook and YouTube, Piglet is branching out, making public appearances and educating kids.
Piglet merchandise is also available and raises money for the group that rescued him.
