Chicago-NY pizza debate heats up again – but what about CT?

Posted: Updated:
NEW HAVEN -

A tweet by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s press secretary has stirred up the New York-Chicago pizza debate.

Eric Phillips tweeted his support of Chicago deep dish with a message that said, “This is the best pizza in the United States and it’s not close.”

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel then chimed in by tweeting a link to the New York Post coverage and saying, “Confirming what everyone already knew. Sorry.”

Sounds like neither of them has tried Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napoletana or Modern Apizza in New Haven if you ask us. Add your favorite place to grab a slice in the comments.
