Police in Fairfield are investigating an incident where they say several bullets hit a house in a quiet, residential neighborhood.
It happened Wednesday around 9:15 p.m. on Candlewood Road, where six gunshots hit the siding of a house, and one bullet went through the siding and into the home.
No one inside the home was harmed.
Police believe it was a drive-by shooting, and also believe it was an isolated incident.
"We're not sure what the relationship is between those in the home and those on the outside," says Fairfield Police Lt. James Perez. "That's part of the investigation, part of something we're looking into."
The homeowner, who was shaken up by the incident when speaking to News 12, says she has no idea why anyone would target her house.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the detective bureau at (203)-254-4825.
