A possible child luring attempt in Howell this week is now under investigation, police said Thursday.
The Howell Township Police Department said the incident happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday on Pitch Pine Lane.
According to investigators, a man driving a black newer model Hyundai Sonata approached two children, ages 8 and 11, who were playing in their front yard.
The man reportedly asked the children if they wanted Christmas gifts and then handed the 11-year-old several gift, including a coloring book and an Amazon gift card.
When the 11-year-old’s mother walked outside the house, the man took off, investigators said.
