The start of the new year has brought larger paychecks for some workers across the U.S., as minimum hourly wages are up in 18 states, however, Connecticut’s is remaining the same.
Connecticut's minimum wage is holding steady at $10.10, but other neighboring states got a boost.
Rhode Island is matching Connecticut's standard at $10.10, up from $9.60.
The minimum wage in Massachusetts will remain at $11 for 2018.
Proposals to raise Connecticut's minimum wage stalled in the last legislative session.
