Police in Shelton have arrested a man after he barricaded himself inside his home.
Police were called to perform a welfare check on Tyler Johnson, 28, after a caller said he had a gun.
Johnson is known to police and has several active warrants.
Johnson denied being in the house and kept giving police different locations of where he was located, but police were able to determine Johnson was inside the home.
Detectives also received information Johnson planned to commit suicide by officers.
Officers surrounded his home and were able to call and convince him to surrender peacefully.
Johnson is due in court later this month and will then be transferred to other departments that issued warrants for his arrest.
No one was injured during the incident.
