Western Connecticut high schoolers gathered in Ridgefield Wednesday to rally against gun violence in the wake of last week's mass shooting in Parkland, Florida.
Isabella Segall, a junior at Wilton High School, organized the rally at Ballard Park. She spread word of the event through Facebook.
Working together with the nonprofit organization CT Against Gun Violence, Segall says teens need to take action.
"We need to, you know, start talking to people and just right now get awareness out," she says. "I feel like there's so many teenagers like me who are so oblivious."
Segall says she was overwhelmed by the support she got Wednesday and is setting up future meetings.
