WESTPORT -

Police were called to the scene of Green's Farms train station in Westport on reports of a suspicious package Sunday.

Amtrak officials say an Amtrak Express train reportedly made an unscheduled stop after a reported bomb threat.

More than 200 passenger and crew members were safely evacuated from the train.

Authorities say that the threat was unfounded.

The train was put back on its route to Boston.

Passengers faced delays up to an hour throughout the night.
