Local officials have come together to help a disabled Bridgeport woman who was on the verge of becoming homeless.
Hanna Peart, 37, has not been able to work after developing lupus, and she and her mother were nearly forced to live on the streets.
News 12 put the two in touch with Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, who worked to get them a 90-day shelter.
They are grateful for the elected officials' work, but now they are looking for a permanent solution for the future.
