Naturalization ceremony held at Stamford library

The City of Stamford welcomed some of the nation's newest citizens during a naturalization ceremony at the Ferguson Library.
Forty people from all over the world were sworn in as American citizens during the ceremony.
Local leaders and officials were there to congratulate the new citizens following their five-year journey.
Officials say they are inspired to see immigrants dedicated to joining our nation.
Directly after the ceremony, the new citizens were able to register to vote and apply for a passport.
