General Assembly passes bipartisan budget plan
The Connecticut House and Senate passed a bipartisan budget for the second year in a row late Wednesday.
It passed with nearly unanimous votes in both chambers before the midnight deadline.
The plan includes no new tax increases and restores and increases funding for numerous core services, including the state's Medicare Savings Program.
Last year's budget stalemate dragged on for months.
