This morning, state leaders said they won’t vote on a minimum wage hike today.
House Speaker Rep. Joe Aresimowicz said the wage hike is dead for the year.
“Our members felt really strongly about it,” he said.  “Ultimately it has become a victim of the clock.”
Currently, minimum wage is just above $10 an hour.
Lawmakers were considering a hike to $15 per hour by 2021, but said there isn’t enough time to negotiate an agreement this year.
