The third annual "A Taste of Hope Street" was held Wednesday in Stamford featuring food from over 10 local restaurants.
The tasting serves as a fundraiser for Healing Hearts Recreation, a nonprofit that helps children, teens and young adults with physical and mental challenges.
The organization says the event is a great way to help those with special needs.
"It's so rewarding, these kids are my life and truly my life's purpose and their like my own kids," says Co-founder Kimberly Colletto. "Our event this year surpassed any of our dreams, so we're a full house - we're very happy."
All proceeds from the event will go to the organization to help with their programs.
