A group of women with significant others in the military received a special celebration Friday.
A total of 75 women took part in the Star-Spangled Baby Shower at Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, an event that was part fun and part education.
The event, which was sponsored by Operation Homefront and Delta Children, offered moms some guidance on a baby's first few months of life.
Topics addressed included crib installation and safe sleep practices for mothers and mothers-to-be.
The women also received some baby shower gifts, including diaper bags, pacifiers, baby wipes and a crib.
