A Stratford woman is making a Mother's Day appeal for the gift of life.
Patricia Stradford, 60, was joined by her mother, Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, supporting her effort to raise $100,000 for medical expenses.
Stradford needs a double lung transplant in order to survive. She currently is on an oxygen tube 24 hours a day while suffering from the late stages of a rare lung disease.
She has Husky C, but it only covers part of her medical costs.
The community is rallying around Stradford, hoping she will be able to celebrate Mother's Day next year in good health.
A GoFundMe for her has been setup and can be found here.
