The 27th Annual Rowayton Elementary School Carnival was held over the weekend.

People enjoyed rides, games and food at the event, which raises money for the school's PTA.

Organizers say that people from all over the area come out to volunteer or just enjoy all that the carnival has to offer.

Gina Legnani, of the School Governance Council, says the event is true to who the community is.

“Our community is really built upon volunteering, and we love just giving back to the community and in essence giving back to our school in the end,” says Legnani.

The carnival wrapped up Sunday afternoon with activities including an egg toss, a pie throwing competition, and face painting.
