2 firefighters recovering, several residents displaced in Bridgeport blaze

Two firefighters are recovering after a two-alarm fire in Bridgeport Wednesday afternoon.
The fire broke out on the third floor and spread to the attic of a building on Kelsey Street.
Everyone in the building made it out safely, but now 15 people are displaced.
Officials say the fire could have been much worse.
"Crews did an excellent job holding it," said William Hathaway, Assistant Chief of the Bridgeport Fire Department. "If it got up to the attic it could have taken the block, but they did a good job stopping it."
The fire marshal is looking into the cause of the fire.
