Brookfield students were finally able to go back to school Wednesday, more than a week after violent storms ripped through the area.
Several bus stops were still inaccessible, so the school district set up a number of temporary bus stops.
Many students were stuck at home last week after Brookfield public schools closed due to unsafe or impassable road conditions.
Parents said that dropping off their kids for school again felt like a welcome return to normalcy.
Students said after five days off, they'll have catching up to do.
Brookfield police said that today was a trial run for drop-off and pick-up times. The temporary bus stops will be active until Friday.
Summer break is being pushed back to June 29 due to the missed days of school.
