Local officials are warning people to take precautions in the water following two separate water rescues only a few hours apart.
They say it was a close call for a teen rescued off Penfield Reef in Fairfield. Police say a quick-thinking fisherman rushed to his aid.
A short time later, four men got stuck on the rocks at Seaside Park in Bridgeport and had to be rescued.
Authorities say warm weather always brings a spike in water-related issues and they need the public's help keeping the shoreline safe.
Police say you should also watch out for waves while you're near the water.
