Gas prices are expected to steadily rise this summer, according to analysts.
The current national average price for a gallon of regular gas is $2.94, according to AAA.
The average national cost of a gallon of gas in 2017 was $2.36.
CNN reports airfare prices may also rise as a result of fuel costs.
Memorial Day weekend saw some of the highest gas prices in four years.
