BRIDGEPORT -

The Compass to Success fundraising event in Bridgeport helped raise money that will go to the Boys & Girls Village, which will then be dispersed to benefit at-risk families.

The nautical-themed event took place at the Black Rock Yacht Club, where the guests enjoyed food and music.

Boys & Girls Village, Inc. has been one of Connecticut's leading providers of behavioral health, educational and permanency planning services for at-risk youth and their families

Steven Kant, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Village, said, "Just a few degrees difference can mean all the difference in the world to these kids, so getting the public on board, the community on board, and we're very thankful to the community in Connecticut, we’re thankful for the community that watches this show, because it’s essential that everybody understand, it’s really through a team effort that we make advances."
