Police: Man broke into home, attacked pregnant woman

A Torrington man was taken into custody after police say he broke into a pregnant woman's home and attacked her.

Police say Sebastian Bloom entered the home on Lewis Street, assaulted the woman, and then blocked her from leaving the house.

They say that the 32-year-old punched out a window and kicked a TV down a flight of stairs.

Police arrested Bloom after a brief struggle outside the house.

Bloom faces multiple charges, including home invasion and second-degree threatening. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
