Fairfield police say they arrested one suspect and are looking for another in connection with a gas station robbery and assault.
Surveillance video shows two suspects entering the Star Fuels station on Jennings Road Saturday night. One suspect indicates a weapon was hidden under his shirt, while the other immediately punches the cashier.
The robbers scoop up some money and merchandise off the counter and flee.
This marks the third robbery at Star Fuels within the past few months. Police say the latest incident is not linked to the others. They say other factors may contribute to the station being a desirable target for would-be criminals, including its hours of operation and the fact that there isn't much vehicular or pedestrian traffic in the area.
Police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the robbery. They are still searching for the person seen punching the clerk. They ask anyone with information to call 203-254-4808.
