NORWALK -

The Norwalk Police Department is honoring a few of its own for their life-saving actions back in June.

Lt. Terrence Blake and Officer Christopher Kassimis were honored as the department’s June Officers of the Month.

The two responded to a person who was overdosing on opioids, and administered NARCAN - the overdose reversal drug.

The person began breathing and regained consciousness.

It was the first NARCAN save by the Norwalk Police Department.
