The Open Door Food Pantry in Norwalk is seeking donations amid the slow summer months.
Currently facing a shortage, the pantry is asking for items like rice and beans, pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly. It's also looking for canned meals, precooked pasta and stews.
Open Door feeds more than 500 families each month.
Donations can be brought to the shelter directly. It's also always looking for volunteers.
