Two big issues will be discussed at Stamford's council meeting on Monday.
The first will be a proposed plastic bag ban for the entire city.
The measure may also require shops to charge 10 cents for every paper bag used.
The proposal’s focus is to cut down on pollution in Stamford and promote reusable bag use.
Officials are also looking at a measure that would require all residents to bag their leaves instead of raking them into the street.
