T.A.I.L.S. animal group surprised with new set of wheels
A Fairfield County animal group got chosen as charity of the month, thanks to a Norwalk car dealership.
Members of T.A.I.L.S. showed up at the Garavel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Subaru to what they thought was a check donation.
Instead, the auto group gave the nonprofit a new van for work.
T.A.I.L.S. was founded in 2001 as a spay-and-neuter group aimed at helping to limit strays and the number of cats and dogs that end up in shelters. It also handles some adoptions.

The group's president says their previous cargo van died in the fall and that it's been challenging to transport animals and their supplies since then.
T.A.I.L.S. says Garavel gave them their first vehicle back in 2013.
