Back to School: Child behavior health

Posted: Updated:

There are plenty of ways parents can get help for their child who may have behavior health issues, experts say.

Behavioral health coordinator and family therapist Rachel Dubraski says help is available to treat everything from anxiety to learning difficulties, and she says whether in the classroom or at home you can spot warning signs.

"Teachers and parents could spot signs in children, also red flags could come up during a physical or a well check with a doctor," Dubraski says.

At a child's physical she says there are screening tools for anxiety, depression or learning disabilities.

The center for pediatrics has an ADHD center where Dubrowski says experts can further assess the needs of children with learning disabilities.
