Police: DNA links Stamford man to damaged parking meters in New Canaan

Posted: Updated:

A Stamford man has been arrested after police linked him to damaged parking meters at a train station in New Canaan.

In September, police were called to the Talmadge Hill station after parking meters were vandalized and $50 in fees were stolen.

Police say were able to trace a cigarette butt by the meters and surveillance video to 32-year-old Devon Pearson.

According to the Stamford Advocate, Pearson was arrested as he appeared in Norwalk Superior Court on Nov. 7. He was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief. He was held on $25,000 bond and given a court date of Dec. 12.
