With Thanksgiving approaching, a local market was giving home chefs expert tips on preparing a flawless holiday meal.
Mike’s Organic Market in Stamford offered a class on how to prepare, cook and carve a turkey Thursday.
Owner Mike Geller says cooking the Thanksgiving turkey doesn't have to be intimidating, but it should be done right.
“You want to make sure you do that in stages, take the thigh and the leg off first, we’re going to show people how to do that, then take your wings off, then take the breast off; do all of this in the kitchen".
Geller says a pasture-raised turkey is going to cook faster and taste better than traditional Thanksgiving turkeys.
