Authorities: Private school therapist invited student to home, engaged in sexual activity

A therapist at a private school in Paramus is scheduled to be in court today, accused of molesting a teenage student at her home.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Tara Cardinale, 39, of Washington Township, was arrested Friday and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact.
Cardinale was a primary therapist at the New Alliance Academy.
Back in December of 2019, police received information Cardinale was engaging in a sexual relationship with a student under the age of 18.
Following an investigation, it was revealed that, on more than one occasion, Cardinale invited the student to her residence, where they engaged in sexual activity.
