A member of the Jewish community in Connecticut is warning Orthodox Jews to practice safety protocols as the communities in New York and New Jersey have been hit hard by coronavirus.
Mark Schachter owns a company that provides security guards for synagogues across the state and says Orthodox Jewish communities everywhere are especially vulnerable to the virus.
Schachter says he's working with area synagogues to develop a public safety campaign that targets Orthodox Jewish communities.
"In many of these communities the only way to transmit safety information is by mouth," he says. "That's what we will be doing over the next few weeks."
