The City of Hoboken issued a new rule that says any customer entering a grocery store, a pharmacy or any type of essential business must have their face covered.
The mayor says it's one more step to try and flatten the curve.
The City of Hoboken says the face covering can be a mask, bandana or piece of cloth.
The entire mouth and hands must be covered by both customers and employees inside essential businesses.
Employees must wear gloves and face covers.
Hoboken asks residents not to use N95 masks and other PPEs so they remain available to first responders and medical professionals.
