A teenager from Milford is using a 3D printer to create mask tension relievers for health care workers fighting coronavirus.
Jack DiCicco wanted to help health care workers who are spending long hours fighting the COVID-19 crisis.
The Fairchild Wheeler student got the idea after seeing pictures of hospital staff with bad bruising behind their ears from wearing masks for hours.
DiCicco starting printing plastic strips that go on the back of a mask and ease the pressure.
He says his printer isn't large enough to make masks and face shields, but making the straps is something he could do to aid those on the front lines.
"I'm grateful beyond what I can put into words for these people who are risking their lives to go out there and help everybody, the world, the country and I just want to be able to do what little that I can," DiCicco says.
He says he wants to send the tension relievers to any hospital workers who need them. You can contact him by Jack phone at (203) 671-1164, or email, spiderdicicco@gmail.com
