The state released Friday a breakdown of what is becoming a worsening situation of coronavirus at nursing homes in Connecticut.

The number of confirmed cases at the state's 135 licensed facilities has doubled in the past week to 3,423.

The number of confirmed or suspected COVID-19 deaths has also doubled to 768. That number represents 43% of the total deaths in Connecticut.

Abbot Terrace in Waterbury remains the hardest hit with 114 cases and 29 deaths. Golden Hill Rehab in Milford has 86 cases and 15 deaths. Milford Health and Rehabilitation Center has 55 cases and nine deaths.

In Litchfield County, the hardest hit facility is Litchfield Woods in Torrington where there have been 77 confirmed cases and 7 deaths.
