Two Connecticut officials met online with dozens of constituents Thursday to discuss federal efforts to bring COVID-19 under control.

In his latest telephone town hall, Sen. Chris Murphy welcomed the leader of Connecticut's 3rd Congressional District to discuss the dawn of recovery.

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro says she's fought for working families since day one.

"Someone gets sick, a loved one gets sick, it's not your fault. And members of Congress and Chris will agree with me, we get the benefit of paid family and medical leave and sick days. Everybody in the country should be able to have that opportunity," said DeLauro.

Murphy says while distance learning is necessary, students will undoubtedly need help catching up.

DeLauro says she's also helping fight against supposed rumors of the privatization of the United States Postal Service.
