A Stratford woman named "Teacher of the Year" was commemorated with a parade including police and firefighters Saturday morning.

A Stratford woman named "Teacher of the Year" was commemorated with a parade including police and firefighters Saturday morning.
Kim Cody, 53, is a math teacher at Victoria Soto School and was given the title in the Stratford School District.
She called the parade a tribute she will carry in her heart for the rest of her life.
Cody will be considered for a statewide title. Whomever wins the statewide competition goes on to compete for the national Teacher of the Year title.
