Mystic Connecticut pays tribute to its seaport village history

Mystic, Connecticut lies just off of I-95's exit 90, and it's quintessential New England charm pays tribute to it's history.
Mystic was originally a seaport town home to 17 shipyards, and was the backdrop during the Pequot War of 1637.
The Mystic drawbridge is a main attraction downtown where boats can be seen traveling up and down the river.
Visitors can enjoy getting an ice cream cone at Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream or great clam chowder on the Mystic River.
Also, visitors flock to the village’s many famous bakeries.
Despite the pandemic, Mystic is open for business, Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Kristin Hartnett says
She says Mystic has a lot of outdoor dining because of its position on the river.
"Mystic is the perfect respite, this is what we do. It's not really a town. Mystic is a ZIP Code and a state of mind," Hartnett says.
