Stratford man arraigned in Monroe watch thefts
A Stratford man was arraigned today for allegedly stealing more than $1 million worth of watches from his employer.
Police say Gilberto Nieves, 38, spent more than a year stealing watches from Victorinox Swiss Army in Monroe to put them on sale on Ebay.
Officials say Nieves was arrested yesterday after a yearlong investigation. More arrests are expected in the case.
