Thursday's strong winds created some dangerous conditions in southwestern Connecticut.
Police and fire crews were called to numerous reports of downed trees, including one in Greenwich. There were also several power lines and poles brought down, including one in Stamford.
In Norwalk, a toppled utility pole blocked the road leading to Cranbury Elementary School. Crews spent hours working on the problem on Knowalot Lane.
While there were a number of scattered outages throughout the day, there were no major problems. A spokesperson for Eversource says it is prepared for the severe weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning until 6 a.m. Monday.
