Study: More bike lanes needed in Stamford
A new study released Wednesday calls on Stamford to add more bicycle lanes to some of its busiest roads.
High Ridge and Long Ridge roads are two prime locations that city officials say will benefit from bike lanes due to their high traffic rate.
The state would have to narrow the car lanes at the two sites to make more room for the bike lanes, according to officials.
Mayor David Martin likes the idea and thinks narrower lanes will slow traffic without having to decrease the speed limit.
