A new study shows from 2012 to 2014, on average, 1,300 kids died each year from a gun-related injury in the U.S.
The study was from the Journal of Pediatrics.
More than half of the deaths were homicides and 38 percent suicides.
Washington, D.C. and Louisiana had the highest rate of child firearm deaths.
